Sunrise Alarm is built with your privacy in mind. We collect the absolute minimum data needed to make the app work — and nothing more.

Who we are

Sunrise Alarm is developed and maintained by mysunrisealarm Team, an independent developer. You can contact us at support [at] mysunrisealarm.com.

What data we collect

We collect only what is strictly necessary for the app to function:

Location data — Your approximate GPS coordinates are used solely to calculate the local sunrise time for your area. This data is sent only to the Open-Meteo API (open-meteo.com) and is never stored on our servers.
City/region name — Derived from your location using Apple's built-in reverse geocoding service, used only to display your location in the app and notification.

What we do NOT collect

Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Payment information (handled entirely by Apple)
Any data from third-party social media platforms

Third-party services

Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — We use this free, open-source API to fetch daily sunrise times based on your coordinates. Open-Meteo does not store personal data. Their privacy policy is available at open-meteo.com.

Apple Location Services — Used for GPS and reverse geocoding. Apple's privacy policy applies to these services.

Apple In-App Purchase / RevenueCat — Used to manage subscriptions. Payment data is handled entirely by Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.

How we use your data

Your location is used for one purpose only: to calculate the exact sunrise time for your area each day. It is transmitted to Open-Meteo's API in real time and is never logged, stored, or shared with any other party.

Data retention

We do not store any personal data on our servers. All app data (alarm settings, preferences) is stored locally on your device only. Deleting the app removes all data permanently.

Children's privacy

Sunrise Alarm does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Your rights

Since we don't collect or store personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions, contact us at support [at] mysunrisealarm.com.
